Activating the Path to Equity Recap
We kicked off Health Equity Week by celebrating the “Faces of Equity,” people who are putting CT’s Path to Equity into action and taking the steps to advance health equity in our state.
Congratulations Patricia Baker!
At this event, HES presented the first annual Health Equity Advocacy Champion Award to Patricia Baker, founding President & CEO of the Connecticut Health Foundation. In future years, the award will be given in honor of Patricia Baker to a Connecticut resident or organization that advocates for systems-level changes to promote health equity.

Healthcare Access and Affordability Recap
On April 7th the Health Equity for the People by the People Coalition (CT Students for a Dream, Health Equity Solutions, Make the Road Connecticut, and the Ministerial Health Fellowship), hosted a session on improving access to affordable healthcare, community building, and taking action this legislative session.
